- Parts Company recruits new staff in Trollhättan
-
- Subsidiary established in the United Kingdom
Saab Automobile Parts AB is expanding its operations. The company remained outside the 2011 bankruptcy of its parent, Saab Automobile AB. In fact it has continued to operate without interruption providing Saab's global network of Authorized Repairers, consisting of about 1,200 workshops, with Saab parts, accessories and technical support.
The company has now established a new office in Trollhättan, where about 50 members of staff have been recruited. This new group forms the commercial part of the business, responsible for purchasing, sales and marketing. A number of engineers and specialists have been hired to serve the network of authorized workshops with technical information and technical support. This new operation is added to the existing organization in Nyköping, where the corporate head office and warehouse, logistics and distribution operations are based.
Saab Automobile Parts AB has also recently established a subsidiary to provide parts and service for Saab customers in the United Kingdom. The UK has long been one of Saab's major markets and this addition strengthens the position of Saab Parts AB in the UK market.
"Today there are Saab cars on the roads of more than 60 countries worldwide and we continue to work actively with our Authorized Repairers by providing them with Saab Genuine parts, service programs and technical support," says
Lennart Ståhl, CEO of Saab Automobile Parts AB. "These workshops can provide Saab customers with the very best service, with service staff being specially trained on Saab products".
In Sweden there are about 160 authorized workshops, whilst in the UK there are around 90.
